Italian Tortellini with Cheesy Goodness

Ingredients Needed

½ pound ground beef

½ pound Italian sausage, casings removed

1 (16 ounce) jar marinara sauce

1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained

1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms

1 (9 ounce) package refrigerated or fresh cheese tortellini

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions

In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef and Italian sausage, breaking them apart as they cook, for about 10 minutes. Drain the excess fat.

In a slow cooker, combine the browned meats, marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, and mushrooms. Cover and cook on Low for 7 to 8 hours.

Add the tortellini to the slow cooker and stir into the meat sauce. Top with mozzarella and Cheddar cheese. Cover and continue cooking on Low for about 15 more minutes, until the tortellini is tender.
