Jamaican Jerk Chicken Delight

2 onions, chopped

1 ½ cups chopped green onions

2 habanero peppers, chopped

6 cloves garlic, chopped
Instructions
Place the chicken in a medium-sized bowl. Pour water and fresh lime juice over the chicken and let it sit for a while to marinate.
Combine oil, allspice, thyme, black pepper, salt, brown sugar, ginger, and nutmeg in a blender; blend until smooth. Add onions, scallions, habanero peppers, and garlic; blend until the mixture is mostly smooth.
Pour the majority of the blended marinade mixture over the chicken, setting aside a small portion for basting while cooking. Toss the chicken to ensure it is evenly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours to marinate.
Preheat the grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate to prevent sticking.
Cook the chicken slowly on the preheated grill, turning frequently and basting regularly with the reserved marinade, until the meat is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear. The internal temperature should reach at least 165°F (74°C) when checked with an instant-read thermometer.
