Leftover Spaghetti Lasagna Bake

Ingredients Needed

1 (16 ounce) package thin spaghetti

4 cups prepared spaghetti sauce

1 cup small curd cottage cheese

½ cup fat-free sour cream

1 (12 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, around 10 minutes. Drain the pasta well.

Combine the cooked spaghetti with the sauce in a large mixing bowl, tossing well to coat.

In a separate bowl, mix together the cottage cheese and sour cream.

Spread half of the spaghetti mixture in the prepared baking dish.

Evenly distribute the cottage cheese mixture over the spaghetti.

Layer the remaining spaghetti mixture on top, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Chef's Tip
I like to bake spicy Italian sausage in the oven while I prepare the other ingredients. Once it's cooked, I layer the sausage at the bottom of the baking dish before adding the first layer of spaghetti, continuing with the rest of the layers and baking as usual.
