Lemon-Infused Roasted Greek Chicken
Ingredients List
-
4 chicken leg quarters, with bone and skin
-
¼ cup olive oil
-
4 lemons, halved
-
4 teaspoons dried oregano
-
4 teaspoons dried basil
-
4 teaspoons garlic powder
-
4 teaspoons salt
-
4 teaspoons ground black pepper
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Arrange the chicken legs in a large, deep baking dish. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil onto each leg, then squeeze fresh lemon juice over them. Place the lemon halves around the chicken for extra flavor.
-
In a bowl, combine oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Generously sprinkle this seasoning mixture over both sides of the chicken legs.
-
Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour 15 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink and the juices run clear. An instant-read thermometer should register 165°F (74°C) near the bone.
