Ingredients List
-
½ cup plain dry bread crumbs
-
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, plus
-
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
2 tablespoons butter, melted
-
1 ½ teaspoons McCormick® Perfect Pinch® Italian Seasoning, divided
-
1 (16 ounce) package frozen broccoli florets, thawed
-
1 (16 ounce) package frozen cauliflower florets, thawed
-
2 tablespoons butter
-
1 large onion, chopped
-
2 tablespoons flour
-
1 teaspoon McCormick® Garlic Salt
-
¼ teaspoon McCormick® Black Pepper, Coarse Ground
-
1 ¼ cups milk
-
4 ounces cream cheese, cubed
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning. Set this aside. Cut the broccoli and cauliflower into bite-sized pieces if needed.
-
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for about 5 minutes until softened. Stir in flour, the remaining 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and pepper. Pour in the milk, cooking and stirring until the mixture thickens and becomes bubbly. Add the cream cheese and the remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese melts. Add the vegetables and gently stir to coat them with the sauce. Transfer the mixture to a 2-quart baking dish and top with the breadcrumb mixture.
-
Bake for 40 minutes, or until the casserole is hot throughout and the top is lightly browned.
