Polish Noodles with Cottage Cheese and Pasta

1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles

1 (16 ounce) container cottage cheese

½ cup sour cream

½ teaspoon sea salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until it becomes soft and golden, about 7 to 10 minutes.
In the meantime, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are partially cooked, about 5 minutes. Drain and return the noodles to the pot.
Pour the onion mixture over the noodles, then stir in cottage cheese, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is heated through and the noodles are tender but still firm, about 5 to 8 minutes.
