-
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
-
2 tablespoons brown sugar
-
6 tablespoons soy sauce
-
½ cup applesauce
-
1 pound pork loin, sliced and cut into thin strips
-
1 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
-
2 tablespoons peanut oil
-
½ teaspoon sesame oil
-
1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger root
-
3 cups broccoli florets
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, and applesauce. Set aside.

-
Heat a combination of peanut oil and sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Cook the pork in batches, 2-3 minutes per batch, until fully cooked through. Remove the pork and set it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain. Keep the oil in the skillet. Add the ginger and stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add the broccoli and cook until tender. Return the pork to the skillet, pour in the sauce, and toss everything together until hot and evenly coated.
