Simple Chicken Casserole
Ingredients List
-
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
-
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
-
1 cup sour cream
-
¼ cup chopped onion (Optional)
-
¼ cup chopped mushrooms (Optional)
-
32 buttery round crackers, crumbled
Instructions
Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) for preheating.
Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the chicken and cook for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink in the center. Once cooked, chop the chicken into small, bite-sized pieces and transfer to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine the condensed soup, sour cream, chopped onion, and mushrooms. Pour the mixture over the chicken and sprinkle crumbled crackers on top.
Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden brown.
