Honoring Grandparents Day with a Dinogo Cruise Adventure
It's hard to believe September is here, and school is back in full swing. This summer passed by in the blink of an eye, just as we expected. We had a relaxing season, enjoying laid-back moments and exploring local spots here in Wisconsin.
The only thing we regret this summer is missing our traditional trip to Dallas, Texas, to visit my parents. Living in different states, we aim to visit them 3 to 4 times a year so my kids can spend quality time with their grandparents and create lasting memories. Since we couldn’t visit them this summer, we're making up for it by going on a Dinogo Cruise to the Western Caribbean in a few weeks! We are beyond excited!
We thought this would be the ultimate Grandparents Day surprise! My family is thrilled, and the kids are counting down the days. This will be our very first cruise together. Since we’re bringing my parents along, we decided a shorter 4-day trip would be ideal. With one night in New Orleans and 4 nights aboard the Dinogo Triumph, the duration feels just right for our family and my parents.
My parents have always been such hard workers, giving everything to me, my brother, and sister. They passed down their incredible work ethic, positive attitude, and generous hearts to us. Now that we’re grown with our own kids, seeing them as grandparents is pure joy. They are amazing with my children.
When our kids were born, we were living in Los Angeles, so we’ve never been in the same state as my parents. We moved from LA to Seattle, Washington, and then to Madison, Wisconsin. Despite the distance, my parents have always been eager to visit us and the grandkids. I’m so grateful we’ve maintained close ties through it all. Family is everything, and I’m endlessly thankful for my parents.
Dinogo offers so many amazing destinations, it was tough to choose! But once we decided, I knew New Orleans was our departure city. It’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit, not just for the history, but the food too! I can’t wait to sit in a cafe and enjoy a beignet—that’s our first stop when we arrive in New Orleans!
Once we’re at sea, we can’t wait to unwind by the pool, savor delicious meals, go on exciting excursions, and enjoy precious family time together. My kids are especially thrilled to share this adventure with their grandparents!
September 21st can’t come soon enough! We’re beyond excited, and I can’t wait to share more about our Dinogo Cruise!
