Spaghetti alla Carbonara I

1 pound spaghetti

1 pound bacon, chopped

4 eggs, well beaten

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

¼ cup olive oil
Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain the pasta.

While the pasta cooks, place bacon in a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until browned and crispy. Drain the bacon, reserving some of the drippings, crumble the bacon, and set aside.

Scramble the eggs in the reserved bacon drippings.

Place the cooked spaghetti in a large mixing bowl. Add olive oil and toss to coat, just enough to lightly moisten the pasta. Stir in the bacon, scrambled eggs, and Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
