Spicy Jalapeño Grilled Steak
Ingredients List
-
4 jalapeno peppers, stemmed
-
¼ cup lime juice
-
4 cloves garlic, peeled
-
1 tablespoon dried oregano
-
1 tablespoon coarse salt
-
1 ½ teaspoons cracked black pepper
-
1 ½ pounds top sirloin steak
Instructions
-
In a blender, combine jalapeños, lime juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and well combined.
-
Place the steak in a shallow dish or a large resealable plastic bag. Pour the jalapeño marinade over the steak, ensuring it's well coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag, then refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight to marinate.
-
Preheat your outdoor grill to high heat and lightly oil the grill grates.
-
Remove the steak from the marinade and cook it on the hot grill for about 5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your preferred doneness. Discard any leftover marinade.
