Stovetop-Cooked Granola

Ingredients List
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
2 cups rolled oats
-
⅓ cup butter
-
2 tablespoons honey
-
⅓ cup packed brown sugar
-
½ cup chopped almonds
-
⅓ cup dried cranberries
Instructions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add oats and cook, stirring frequently, until they begin to turn golden and crisp, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and spread the oats on a baking sheet to cool.
In the same pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the honey and brown sugar, stirring constantly until the mixture becomes bubbly. Return the oats to the pan and cook, stirring, for another 5 minutes. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet to cool.
Once the granola has cooled, transfer it to an airtight container and stir in the almonds and dried cranberries. Feel free to add any other nuts or fruits you like at this stage.
