Stuffing Meatloaf

1 ½ pounds beef, veal, and pork meatloaf meat mix

2 green apples - peeled, cored, and diced

1 small white onion, diced

1 cup herb-seasoned stuffing mix (such as Pepperidge Farm® Herb-Seasoned Stuffing), crushed

3 stalks celery, diced

½ cup milk

¼ cup water
-
2 eggs
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder

¾ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, combine ground meat, diced apples, onions, stuffing mix, chopped celery, milk, water, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Spread a layer of cream of mushroom soup in a 9x5-inch loaf pan. Carefully spoon the meat mixture into the pan, pressing it down to flatten the top evenly.

Bake in the oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the center is no longer pink and an instant-read thermometer shows 160°F (70°C). Let it rest in the pan for 5-10 minutes.

Carefully flip the meatloaf pan over onto a serving plate so that the creamy mushroom topping is on top.
