Tangy and Sweet Braised Red Cabbage

1 medium head red cabbage, shredded

1 quart water

½ cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon caraway seeds

½ cup vinegar

¼ cup butter
Instructions

Put the cabbage into a medium-sized pot. Add water and salt, then bring it to a boil. Stir in brown sugar and caraway seeds, and cook for about 12 minutes until the cabbage becomes tender. Drain the cabbage.

Mix the cabbage with vinegar and butter in a medium bowl, making sure it's fully coated.
