Tangy Sweet and Sour Green Beans

2 (15 ounce) cans green beans, drained, juices reserved

3 slices bacon, chopped

1 cup chopped onion

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon pepper
Instructions

In a medium skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until crispy. Add the onion and cook until softened. Stir in the flour and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Pour in the vinegar and 3/4 cup of the reserved green bean liquid. Add sugar, salt, and pepper, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Stir in the green beans and continue to simmer until the beans are heated through.
