Tennessee-Style Baked Onions

Ingredients Needed

3 onion sweet onions, sliced into 1/4-inch slices

1 1/2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning, or more to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

4 tablespoons butter, cut into 6 slices

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
-
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Layer half of the onions in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Season with half of the Cajun spice mix and garlic powder. Repeat with the remaining onions, seasoning, and garlic powder.
Place pats of butter over the onions, then evenly distribute the Cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on top. Sprinkle oregano over the cheese and finish with a layer of Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes, or until the onions are tender and the cheese has melted, become bubbly, and browned around the edges.
