Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

In a saucepan, sauté the onions and carrots, then add beef broth. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 8 minutes until the vegetables are soft, then set the vegetables and broth aside.

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, then mix in breadcrumbs, basil, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to moisten the breadcrumbs, then fold in the turkey, beef, and pork sausage. Add the cooked onions, carrots, and broth. Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan. In a separate bowl, combine tomato soup, balsamic vinegar, and Dijon mustard, and spread this glaze over the meatloaf.

Bake the meatloaf for about 1 1/2 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C) and is no longer pink in the center.
