Traditional Macaroni and Cheese

1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, sliced

1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large pot, bring water with a pinch of salt to a boil. Add the pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until it's al dente, then drain the water.
Lightly grease a 2-quart casserole dish. Layer one-quarter of the cooked macaroni at the bottom, followed by a layer of one-quarter of the cheese slices. Add small dabs of butter and season with salt and pepper. Repeat the layering process three more times. Finally, pour the evaporated milk evenly over the entire dish.
Bake uncovered for one hour or until the top turns a golden brown color.
