Zucchini Pasta
Ingredients List
-
1 pound ground beef
-
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
-
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
-
1 (14.5 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes
-
1 tablespoon salt, or more to taste
-
1 teaspoon dried basil
-
½ teaspoon dried oregano
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon onion powder
-
¼ teaspoon ground thyme
-
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
-
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
-
3 zucchini, cut into long strands
Instructions
-
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef with black pepper, stirring occasionally, until crumbly and browned, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
-
Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, salt, basil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and red pepper flakes to the beef. Stir and cook until the sauce is heated through, about 2 minutes. Stir in tomato paste.
-
Add the zucchini noodles to the sauce, pressing them down to submerge fully. Simmer on medium-low until the zucchini softens, about 10 minutes.
Cooking Tip
To achieve the best noodle texture, use a spiralizer to shape the zucchini into noodles.
