A luxury hotel opens at the peak of Vietnam’s tallest skyscraper
Vietnam's luxury hotel scene just reached new heights – literally.
The newly launched Vinpearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection, is nestled within the country's tallest building, Landmark 81, in Ho Chi Minh City.
Standing at 461 meters (1,512 feet), it offers sweeping views of the Saigon River in the eastern part of Vietnam’s largest city.
The breathtaking panoramic vistas from this height are undoubtedly a major attraction.
The property features 223 rooms and suites, with the most extravagant being the penthouse suite on the 68th floor. This suite is marketed as the largest and highest presidential suite in all of Vietnam.
Spanning 488 square meters, the suite includes two marble bathrooms, space to sleep up to five guests, and the option to have a private chef and mixologist. All rooms, including the suites, come with floor-to-ceiling glass windows to fully embrace the stunning views.
The hotel’s Oriental Pearl restaurant elevates the beloved Vietnamese dish, phở, by serving it with wagyu beef for a more luxurious twist.
At The Cloud café, guests can enjoy traditional Vietnamese coffee and locally crafted chocolates.
The Vinpearl offers three versatile event spaces, each with its own outdoor terrace. One of these spaces is even large enough to accommodate a car, according to the hotel.
The Akoya spa, named after a traditional Vietnamese pearl symbolizing beauty, offers a range of treatments including massages, facials, and access to a sauna, steam room, and infinity pool.
Vinpearl’s general manager, Goetz Bauer, expressed: “We’re excited to raise the bar for hospitality, catering to both local and international travelers—whether here for business or leisure—in this dynamic Vietnamese city.”
He continued: “Our aim is to shine as a new landmark on the skyline, fostering meaningful connections between our valued guests and the true essence of this vibrant city.”
The hotel, marking the debut of Marriott’s Autograph Collection brand in Vietnam, occupies 34 floors of the towering 81-story Landmark 81 skyscraper.
The remaining floors of Landmark 81 house a mix of private residences and public attractions. Guests can enjoy the ice rink, cinema, children’s play area, shopping mall, and even visit the observation deck on the 81st floor, all without leaving the building.
The building’s design draws inspiration from a Vietnamese legend where a young boy named Thanh Giong, just three years old, repelled an enemy army armed with only a bundle of bamboo.
Vinpearl Landmark 81 is approximately 11 km (7 miles) from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the largest and busiest airport in Vietnam.
