A 'wickedly fun' new attraction is set to launch at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in 2025

Something wicked is on its way to Disney's Hollywood Studios next summer.

On Tuesday, Disney revealed plans for a brand-new live production to be held in the Sunset Boulevard area of Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.

As reported by the Disney Parks Blog, this delightfully sinister new show will transport guests into the "mysterious, reflective realm of the Magic Mirror," the magical artifact renowned from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."

The show will showcase a host of wicked Disney villains, featuring characters like Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent as they burst through the Magic Mirror to perform live on stage.

This announcement follows Disney's revelation at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that plans are in motion for a whole new area dedicated to Disney villains at the Magic Kingdom. Although it will be years before guests can visit this eerie new land, Disney is giving fans a sneak peek with the villain-themed show debuting at Hollywood Studios next summer.

The show will take place at the Sunset Showcase Theater located behind Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Currently, the theater hosts Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy, featuring an animatronic Lightning McQueen at the center of the action, with video screens displaying several of his racing friends, including Tow Mater and Cruz Ramirez, cheering him on.

Parents appreciate Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy because it offers younger children a fun activity while older kids and adults enjoy rides like Rock 'n' Roller Coaster or the nearby Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Fortunately, there's no height restriction for this stage show, ensuring that little ones can enjoy it, complete with music from beloved Disney classics such as "101 Dalmatians," "Aladdin," and "Peter Pan."
