All the details about Disney Destiny, set to launch on Disney Cruise Line in 2025.

To truly become a hero, one often requires a worthy antagonist. Disney Destiny will feature a host of both legendary heroes and villains, embarking on its journey in 2025.
This ship goes beyond just fairy-tale princesses and Marvel heroes, introducing unique spots like the inaugural piano lounge themed around Cruella de Vil and a pub inspired by "Pirates of the Caribbean," where the more mischievous characters might gather.
Before we explore all the exciting offerings aboard Disney Destiny, keep in mind that it’s a massive 144,000-ton Wish Class vessel. This ship matches the size and classification of both Disney Wish, which launched in 2022, and Disney Treasure, scheduled to debut in late 2024. The Disney Wish Class boasts 1,258 cabins, which can accommodate nearly 4,000 guests when every sleeping space is utilized.
Disney Wish marked the first new addition to the fleet in over ten years. Nevertheless, Disney Cruise Line is experiencing a rapid expansion that will increase its fleet from five ships to 13 ships by 2031, provided everything proceeds as planned.

Disney Destiny will embark on its inaugural voyage for Disney Cruise Line on November 20, 2025, departing from South Florida at Port Everglades. This is significant, as it will be the first new Disney ship to sail from a port other than Port Canaveral, which has been its home base.
Theme of Disney Destiny

The name Disney Destiny suggests a strong connection to its theme. Anticipate discovering numerous areas dedicated to both heroes and villains. Ultimately, it's the balance and interplay between the two that drive heroes toward their true destiny.
Certainly, your family's journey aboard Disney Destiny isn't solely about the tales and adventures of Disney characters. It's also an opportunity to discover your own destiny, with themed areas and characters setting the scene for that experience.
For instance, the artwork adorning the bow will showcase Minnie Mouse in a heroic stance, wearing a striking outfit, with her cape flowing gracefully in the ocean breeze as she confidently guides guests toward their vacation destinies, as noted by the line.

Inside the ship's Grand Hall, you will encounter a distinctly different atmosphere compared to the Cinderella "enchantment" theme of Disney Wish. Instead, Disney Destiny will prominently feature a statue of T'Challa from "Black Panther," with an atrium color scheme inspired by the legendary Kingdom of Wakanda.
Even the light fixture suspended in the Grand Hall will reflect this theme, drawing inspiration from Vibranium, the rare and powerful metal found in Wakanda. (You might be pleasantly surprised by some special effects it includes.)

Naturally, no Disney ship would be truly complete without a character featured on its stern. On Disney Destiny, Spider-Man holds this esteemed position, marking the first time a Marvel character has been chosen for such a prominent role by Disney Cruise Line.

Accommodations on Disney Destiny
In line with other Disney Cruise Line vessels, Disney Destiny will offer five primary categories of cabins: Inside, Ocean-view, Verandah, Concierge, and Royal Suites. As usual, you can expect the prices to increase with each category.
Most cabins will feature Disney's iconic split bathroom design, allowing several family members to prepare simultaneously. Additionally, each cabin will showcase unique artwork illustrating the adventures of Disney legends from films like "Fantasia," "The Incredibles," and "Hercules," with the specific scenes varying by room category.

Key highlights of the Disney Destiny cabins include the concierge rooms, which grant access to exclusive areas and amenities, such as a concierge lounge filled with special food and beverages, along with a private sundeck for concierge guests only.

Disney Destiny will also feature seven ocean-view rooms themed around "The Incredibles." These rooms will be situated directly above the bridge and will boast floor-to-ceiling windows for stunning views.
Other impressive accommodations will feature four Hero Suites, celebrating the champions of "Hercules" with designs that reflect Greco-Roman architecture, vibrant colors, and intricate patterns. Additionally, the IncrediSuites will embody the playful, bold, midcentury modern style seen in Pixar's "The Incredibles" films.

Destiny Tower Suite
Beyond the uniquely themed cabins and suites already mentioned, Disney Destiny features an even more extraordinary suite where you can unwind.
In recent years, Disney Cruise Line has reimagined its "nonfunctional" funnel into a spectacular 2,000-square-foot suite that first appeared on Disney Wish. This two-story funnel suite on Disney Destiny boasts a striking two-story window and can accommodate up to eight guests. The design will take inspiration from "Iron Man," incorporating elements and decor reflective of Tony Stark's industrial style.

Dining options on Disney Destiny
All of Disney's ships feature what they call "rotational dining," allowing cruise passengers — along with their serving team — to rotate through three different restaurants each night of their journey. On Disney Destiny, you can enjoy four- and five-night sailings, giving you the opportunity to visit one or two of the restaurants twice for dinner.
Disney Destiny will feature two familiar restaurants from Wish Class ships, along with one exciting new addition.
Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King
This brand-new restaurant is designed to evoke a savanna atmosphere themed around "The Lion King." It will take the place of the "Frozen"-themed show found on Disney Wish and the "Coco"-themed experience on Disney Treasure.
According to Disney, guests can anticipate that animals and nature will come to "life" through innovative lighting and special effects, while the windowed backdrop will shift to showcase sunrise and sunset throughout the dining experience.
As families enjoy their meals, a vibrant group of live musicians and storytellers will perform, bringing the music and tales of "The Lion King" to life with renditions of "Circle of Life," "Hakuna Matata," and "Be Prepared."

Worlds of Marvel
The Worlds of Marvel restaurant, featured on Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, will also make its return on Disney Destiny. This time, it will showcase "Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix," debuting on Disney Treasure in late 2024. Guests can look forward to Groot organizing a special birthday celebration for his friend, Rocket Raccoon, complete with music and trivia activities.

1923
Also waiting for guests aboard Disney Destiny is 1923, a restaurant featuring a California-inspired menu, named to honor the founding year of The Walt Disney Company.
Like its counterparts on Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, 1923 will showcase decor including sketches, storyboards, and more from Disney animated classics. However, this version may highlight design elements that focus more on heroes and villains.

Edna A La Mode Sweets
Exclusive to Disney Destiny, this sweets shop is themed around the legendary Edna Mode, the fashion guru from "The Incredibles" known for creating the finest superhero costumes.

The adults-only dining venues, Palo Steakhouse and Enchante, will also return on Disney Destiny. These restaurants require reservations and, unlike the previously mentioned rotational dining options, are not included in your cruise fare. However, indulging in a meal at either of these establishments is among the best investments you can make at sea.
Bars and lounges on Disney Destiny
In line with its heroes and villains theme, Disney Destiny will be the first — and currently the only — Disney ship to feature several villain-inspired bars and lounges.
De Vil's piano lounge
Ever seen a piano adorned with Dalmatian spots? You’ll have the chance at Cruella's own De Vil's piano lounge. Situated just off the Grand Hall, it’s an easy stop before or after any activity on the ship — including dropping off your kids at the Oceaneer Club, as this lounge is reserved for adults only.
Expect a stunning venue inspired by Hollywood regency, featuring trendy cocktails, wines, and martinis that even the most stylish villains would admire.
Haunted Mansion Parlor
Guests can sip their favorite "spirits" at the Haunted Mansion-themed parlor, available on both Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. This venue will take the place of the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge found on Disney Wish.
This lounge captures the enchantment, humor, and design of the beloved Haunted Mansion attraction from Disney parks, all set within a classic drawing room reminiscent of the golden age of ocean liners.
Don’t be surprised if some characters from the Haunted Mansion attraction, along with possibly some new seafaring companions, make an appearance to mingle while you enjoy their parlor and its spooky beverages.
Cask and Cannon
New to Disney Destiny, this pub is designed to make any fan of "Pirates of the Caribbean" feel completely at home.
Cask and Cannon will naturally feature an extensive rum menu, showcasing rare and vintage selections. Beer will also be on offer, including some specially crafted just for this pub, served straight from the barrel. Guests can enjoy a variety of unique choices while watching sports and more on the pub's televisions.
The Sanctum
Another new lounge aboard Disney Destiny, The Sanctum draws inspiration from Doctor Strange's New York Sanctum and his mystical powers. The space will include a large circular mirror behind the bar and may even house a few magical artifacts. Visitors can expect a range of surprises, and the centrally located area will host various activities during each cruise, serving both alcoholic beverages and coffee.
Adjacent to the Grand Hall, you'll discover Cafe Megara, named after the heroine from Disney's "Hercules." This cafe will pay tribute to the film's rich world of ancient Greek mythology. Additionally, Cafe Merida will honor the spirited heroine of Pixar's "Brave," featuring a Celtic-inspired design that reflects her family's Scottish Highlands heritage, as shared by Disney.
The Rose
Situated next to Enchante and Palo, The Rose is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail before or after dinner. The bar's ambiance evokes the magical castle from "Beauty and the Beast," making it an excellent, upscale spot to appreciate the view and raise a glass to the evening ahead.
Disney Destiny activities
On Disney Destiny, you can look forward to a variety of amenities and activities similar to those on other recent Disney ships. This includes the kids clubs, which cater to different age groups: a nursery for ages 3 and under, the Oceaneer Club for ages 3 to 10, a tween club named Edge for ages 10 to 13, and the Vibe teen club for ages 14 to 17.
The ship will feature a Hero Zone where you can engage in training and prepare for your next showdown with a villain. Participate in exciting physical challenges and game-show-style contests with your family. Of course, don’t forget to unwind at the Senses Spa, where you can take a break between adventures. Additionally, the "Rapunzel"-themed Untangled Salon and Hook's Barbery might have delightful surprises as daytime shaves and haircuts transform into happy hour experiences.
Similar to its sister ships, Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny will boast a 760-foot AquaMouse interactive waterslide on its upper decks—but with a twist. This slide will feature a fourth show that includes villains from the Disney Animation Archive, complete with an original soundtrack created specifically for Disney Cruise Line. You'll also discover a variety of pools and a splash pad area designed for younger guests.
Two movie theaters will screen some of the latest Disney blockbusters. In addition, the Walt Disney Theater will host three Broadway-style shows: "Frozen, a Musical Spectacular," "Disney Seas the Adventure," and "Hercules," the latter of which is exclusive to Disney Destiny.
When is Disney Destiny's maiden voyage?
Disney Destiny will embark on its inaugural journey from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on November 20, 2025. This four-night cruise will visit both of Disney Cruise Line's private islands — Disney's Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Following this, the ship will have its inaugural season offering four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean, with stops at ports like Nassau, Bahamas, and Cozumel, Mexico. Every sailing will also include a visit to one or both of Disney's private island getaways in the Bahamas.
What are the costs associated with sailing on Disney Destiny?
The cost of a voyage on Disney Destiny can vary significantly based on the dates and destinations of your sailing.
For a general idea, for double occupancy, rates begin at $2,282 for an interior cabin or $2,810 for a verandah cabin on the cheapest sailing, which is a four-night trip in January 2025 after the school break. For a family of four, this same sailing starts at $3,880 for an inside cabin and $4,440 for one with a verandah.
However, prices can soar during peak holiday periods. For winter holidays like Christmas and New Year's, starting rates for a family of four can range from $8,000 to $11,000. Many sailings fall in between these two extremes, with costs ranging from $4,500 to $6,000 depending on the cabin type chosen.
