Amex announces a new Centurion Lounge is on its way to Salt Lake City

American Express is set to debut another Centurion Lounge.
On Wednesday, Amex revealed plans to establish its renowned airport lounge at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) in 2025. The new facility will be situated in the upgraded Concourse B as part of the fourth phase of SLC's redevelopment initiative.
Upon opening, Amex will be the exclusive credit card provider managing a lounge at SLC.
American Express has established a strong presence in the Salt Lake City area, with its National Bank headquarters located in Sandy, Utah.

Moreover, with Delta Air Lines operating its hub at SLC, the introduction of a Centurion Lounge at the airport will generate numerous synergies. (Amex and Delta's significant partnership equates to billions in revenue.)

Travelers can look forward to two standout amenities in this lounge. The first is an outdoor terrace available year-round, offering stunning views of the airfield and the Wasatch Mountains. The second is a "Blue Roast by American Express" coffee bar featuring counter service with espresso beverages, cold brew, and seasonal specialties from a soon-to-be-revealed local roaster.
Additionally, this lounge will feature many signature Centurion Lounge amenities. The issuer guarantees a rotating menu crafted by a local award-winning Resy chef, cocktails created by Jim Meehan, and a wine selection curated by Anthony Giglio, the Centurion Lounge's wine director and sommelier.
Amex revealed few additional details about the upcoming lounge, stating that it will span nearly 16,000 square feet.
Loyalty essentials: Top strategies for earning airline miles
Once operational, eligible cardmembers flying Delta will have access to two lounges: the Delta Sky Club and the Centurion Lounge. Passengers on other airlines will be able to enjoy the Centurion Lounge exclusively.
"American Express has deep connections in the Salt Lake City community, which is home to many of our team members and Card Members, as well as a favored vacation spot for U.S. and international Card Members. The new Centurion Lounge will offer eligible Card Members a taste of this stunning destination while providing premium amenities for all kinds of travelers," said Audrey Hendley, president of American Express Travel, in a statement.
The new lounge at SLC is merely the latest step in Amex's pursuit of global supremacy in the credit card-branded airport lounge industry. Just last month, the issuer inaugurated a new location at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), and on August 1, it launched its fourth club in Mexico City.
Looking ahead, Amex has already revealed plans for new lounges at Tokyo's Haneda Airport (HND) in 2025 and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in 2026.
Accessing the Amex Centurion Lounge network
American Express cardmembers holding a Centurion or Platinum card, such as The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, can enjoy access to Amex Centurion Lounges.
Members of the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card also receive complimentary access to Centurion Lounges when traveling on a same-day Delta Air Lines-marketed or -operated flight.

Centurion Lounge access cannot be purchased, even if you hold another American Express card.
Please note that the Centurion Lounge guest policies were updated last year to help reduce crowding.
Platinum cardmembers may not bring complimentary guests into the lounge unless they achieve a $75,000 annual spending threshold on their cards. Otherwise, fees are $50 for each adult guest and $30 for children aged 2-17. Children under 2 can enter free of charge. Centurion and Corporate Platinum cardmembers are still allowed to bring up to two guests for free.
The details regarding the Centurion and Corporate Platinum credit cards have been gathered independently by Dinogo. The card information on this page has not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
