Away Introduces a Range of Outdoor Gear, Including Duffels and Backpacks

Renowned for its vibrant hard-shell suitcases, Away is expanding its offerings with a new collection of travel bags and accessories tailored for outdoor use. Made from durable, water- and abrasion-resistant recycled materials, the For All Routes (F.A.R) line of duffels and backpacks is now a staple in Away’s catalog. This means new colors and designs will be introduced alongside the seasonal launches of their hard-shell luggage.

The initial F.A.R collection showcases eight products, including duffel bags, backpacks, totes, organizational pouches, and packing cubes. As with other Away releases, there’s a wide array of colors available. Classic hues like black, navy, white, and a deep green complement their hard-shell suitcases, while vibrant options like “Vivid Blue,” “Red Orange,” and a striking neon green called “Atomic Celery” promise to turn heads, whether you’re in the wilderness or at the airport.

The F.A.R Duffels come in three sizes (40L, 55L, and 70L), perfect for those needing ample space for all their gear. For those who like to stay organized, the F.A.R Convertible Backpack, designed to fit carry-on standards, features pockets for laptops and small essentials galore. The tote and messenger bag are ideal for daily adventures, like beach trips or shorter hikes, while the packing cubes and pouches help keep everything neatly arranged inside the larger bags.

Each bag in this collection emphasizes sustainability, crafted from 100 percent recycled polyester. The zippers, mesh, and webbing are also sourced from entirely recycled materials. Not only are these bags eco-friendly, but they are also lightweight, with the heaviest item weighing only 3.32 pounds. While we haven’t had the chance for extensive testing, Away claims their bags are water- and abrasion-resistant, and they seem durable at first glance, although the material appears thinner than similar options from brands like North Face or Yeti that use heavier ballistic nylon.
