Bermuda is easing its stringent COVID-19 entry rules, making it simpler to visit
Visiting the pink sands of Bermuda has become a bit more accessible.
Beginning this week, the island nation is simplifying the entry process for vaccinated travelers arriving by air. Additionally, there will be more flights to the island in the future.
(Photo by Melanie Lieberman/Dinogo)As of March 7, Bermuda's updated guidelines will require all visitors aged 12 and older to provide proof of vaccination, and all visitors aged 2 and up to present a negative COVID-19 test result. The island's previous mandatory quarantine and arrival testing are now eliminated.
Here’s what you need to know:
- All travelers aged 12 and over must be fully vaccinated to enter Bermuda. "Fully vaccinated" means having completed a full course of a COVID-19 vaccine with at least 14 days elapsed since the last dose prior to arrival in Bermuda.
- Booster shots are not mandatory.
- A negative COVID-19 test is required for all passengers aged 2 and older; either a supervised antigen test taken within two days of arrival or a PCR test taken within four days of arrival is acceptable.
- Children aged 11 and under will share the vaccination status of the guardian they are traveling with.
- Travelers must fill out the "Travel Authorisation" form with this information 24 to 48 hours before arrival. (Note: The form fee has decreased from $75 to $40, which includes return testing if needed.)
- No additional testing will be needed upon arrival. If a test is required for return to the country of origin, Bermuda will automatically arrange and provide return testing for travelers.
Unvaccinated travelers have been barred from entering Bermuda since December 2021.

Where to stay in Bermuda
While there aren't many points properties in Bermuda, here are a few of our top picks.
The St. Regis Bermuda resort debuted in May 2021. It is situated in the historic town of St. George's, just a short walk from the pristine sands of St. Catherine's Beach.

This is a Category 8 hotel, requiring 70,000 points per night during off-peak dates, 85,000 points for standard dates, and 100,000 points for peak dates. Please note that later this month, Marriott will transition to dynamic award pricing and discontinue its current award charts.
