Accumulating points on Peloton purchases
Between October 2020 and June 2022, you could earn statement credits for your monthly Peloton subscription when using the Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve card. Additionally, bonus points were available on equipment purchases.

The opportunity to earn bonus points continues, with the following earning rates available until March 2025:
- Chase Sapphire Reserve: Earn 10 points for every dollar spent on Peloton equipment and accessory purchases of $150 or more — capped at 50,000 points.
- Chase Sapphire Preferred: Earn 5 points for every dollar spent on Peloton equipment and accessory purchases of $150 or more — capped at 25,000 points.
To earn the maximum points, you need to spend $5,000 on Peloton equipment.
Peloton bikes come with a hefty price tag. If you want to test one before buying, you're in luck: you can try them out at select Capital One lounges and various Hilton hotels across the U.S.. You can also rent bikes, although these rentals may not qualify for the above earning rates, depending on how they appear on your credit card statement.
You can also try a Peloton bike, treadmill, or rowing machine in your home for 30 days, with the option for a refund if you decide it's not for you. Keep in mind that a monthly membership (costing $44 plus taxes) is required to access all Peloton content on your home equipment.
In summary
If you're thinking about purchasing a Peloton, you could earn up to 10 points for every dollar spent by using a Chase Sapphire card.
Until March 2025, you can earn up to 50,000 points on these purchases, making it a valuable opportunity — plus, you'll also enjoy fitness benefits along the way.
