My first Hallmark movie, "Christmas Camp," was inspired by several delightful towns I explored while filming my "Travel Therapy" TV segments, as well as the enchanting Quartermain House B&B in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
As I penned more Christmas films for Netflix, Hallmark, and Lifetime, I continued to draw inspiration from the comforting and joyful places I had visited, much like receiving a warm hug from an old friend.

Leavenworth, Washington. CONNIE COLEMANGrowing up in Washington state, a visit to the charming Bavarian-style village of Leavenworth during Christmas was always a dream of mine. The enchanting gazebo even inspired the cover of my novel "Finding Christmas."
Leavenworth’s array of unique shops, art galleries, and restaurants exudes Christmas joy. With over half a million twinkling lights, this gem of the Northwest is sure to ignite your holiday spirit.

Old Quebec, which dates back 400 years, is recognized by UNESCO as one of the Treasures of the World Heritage of Mankind. The enchanting cobblestone streets, quaint boutiques, and cozy bistros of this historic city inspired the royal rom-coms I penned, including Netflix's "A Christmas Prince" and my novel "A Royal Christmas Fairy Tale."
Where to stay: I felt like royalty at the five-star Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, a stunning castle-like hotel that is frequently ranked among Canada's best.

At the breathtaking Redding Garden of Lights, the Sheraton Redding Hotel at the Sundial Bridge commissioned artist Tres Fromme to illuminate the area with over 1 million twinkling lights, creating spectacular displays across 10 acres.

I’m not alone—millions flock to see Manhattan’s stunning Christmas decorations, with the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree being a standout. Ice skating at the enchanting rink makes me feel as if I’ve stepped into a holiday film, where anything is possible during this season.
Where to stay: For an incredible festive view of Central Park, I recommend the Mandarin Oriental. Its award-winning spa is perfect for unwinding amidst the holiday rush.
