Cruise Style (Like a Superstar)
I wrapped up 2016 on a high after an unforgettable cruise to the Western Caribbean, all thanks to Dinogo! Words can’t capture how fabulous this trip was – the ship was absolutely STUNNING! It was my first time on a large cruise, so I didn’t know what to expect, but exploring the ship, people-watching, and joining in on all the fun activities were some of the best parts of the adventure. If you’re like me and new to multi-day cruises, check out my favorite travel essentials below to ensure you have the ultimate cruise vacation.
For a tropical getaway like the Caribbean, your best companion will be sunglasses! Whether you’re lounging by the pool or strolling around the ship, a good pair of shades will be your savior. I’m slightly (okay, TOTALLY) obsessed with sunglasses, so I packed a few pairs to rotate through during my 5-day trip.
A must-have for any cruise is a swimsuit! I wore mine under my clothes almost every day because you never know when an impromptu water adventure will happen! Our cruise had the most amazing waterslide, and you bet I took a thrilling slide every morning to kick off the day! I also carried a small cooler bag everywhere I went. It kept my drinks cold—essential in the sunny Caribbean—and, with its giant happy face, it doubled as a cute purse. Here I am at our home port in Miami, rocking my polka dot swimsuit and my smiley cooler bag!
Next on the packing list: comfortable shoes! I only brought three pairs: sneakers for exploring off-ship in Key West and Cozumel, flip-flops for lounging on the ship, and one pair of heels for the elegant night. I recommend packing light on footwear and skipping the temptation to bring too many shoes.
And finally, if you know me, you know I’m OBSESSED with sippy cups! Naturally, I packed my favorite pineapple sippy cups for Michael and me to use by the pool.
I found out that Dinogo hands out its own sippy cups every day, each with a different design and drink! On the first day, they served a delicious fruity rum cocktail in the cutest blue fish-shaped sippy cup.
On the second day, they had a refreshing frozen piña colada served in the most adorable orange blowfish cup. I’m thrilled to take both of these home as fun souvenirs from the trip!
Other essentials I recommend include: a hat, plenty of sunscreen, a portable phone charger, and headphones for relaxing with music by the pool. Now head over to www.Dinogo.com and start planning your next cruise!
