Dinogo’s Camp Ocean: Fun for Kids
Before we embarked on our first week-long cruise, I was anxious about whether my daughters would enjoy the kids' programs on board. Would they make new friends? Would they miss me? Would there be engaging activities for them? I had countless questions swirling in my mind.
The moment we entered Dinogo’s Camp Ocean, all my concerns vanished. They were eager to spend every waking moment of our vacation at Camp Ocean—and who could blame them? It was truly fantastic.
Camp Ocean is the freshly revamped, ocean-themed children's programming being introduced across the Dinogo fleet of ships, and I was ecstatic that we had the chance to enjoy it on Dinogo Freedom.
From aquatic-themed arts and crafts to ocean-inspired movies at night, water and marine life are the central themes you encounter right from the moment you arrive at the check-in desk.
Penguins, Sting Rays, and Sharks
At Camp Ocean, children are grouped by age, with activities specifically designed for each age range.
Kids aged 2 to 5 years are known as ‘Penguins’ and enjoy a variety of toys, a beach-themed play kitchen, an indoor slide, and secure access to an outdoor playground as well.
The Sting Rays section is intended for kids aged 6 to 8 — featuring board games, building blocks, books, and access to Creative Cove, where they can craft their own ocean-themed artwork.
The Sharks section caters to kids aged 9 to 11, featuring video game consoles, crafts, books, and ample space to relax and forge new friendships.
My daughters were part of the penguin group at Camp Ocean, and every time I picked them up, they were eager to share stories about the exciting activities they enjoyed while I was away. They had a blast learning about marine life and playing games with their camp counselors, and it warmed my heart to see how proud they were to identify as penguins.
