Last year’s top hotel, the breathtaking Passalacqua in Lake Como, Italy, has been surpassed by the Capella in Bangkok, Thailand. This hotel, which overlooks the Chao Phraya River, features 101 rooms, suites, and villas, a Michelin-starred chef, an exquisite spa, and concierges ready to curate your city itinerary. The blend of sophistication, minimalist design, and outstanding service creates a tranquil retreat for relaxation or a stylish cocktail at the vibrant bar.
The panel of judges for this list is comprised of the The World’s Best 50 Hotels Academy, a diverse group of 600 international travel experts (with an equal gender balance) from the hotel and travel sectors who cast their votes anonymously for the world’s best properties.

Following closely, Europe boasts 13 properties, featuring the stunning new addition Borgo Santandrea (20) in Amalfi, Italy.
The leading country in North America is Mexico, which presents four hotels: Chablé Yucatan (16), Maroma, A Belmond Hotel, Riviera Maya (18), One&Only Mandarina (29) in Riviera Nayarit, and Hotel Esencia (47) in Tulum.
The US has four hotels listed: The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel (30) and Aman New York (37), both located in New York City, as well as Four Seasons at the Surf Club (34) north of Miami, Florida, and Hotel Bel-Air (35) in Los Angeles, California.
This year's exciting new additions include the Lana in Dubai (24), Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, Cape Town (28) in South Africa, Suján Jawai (43) in Rajasthan, India, and the Tasman in Hobart, Australia (49).
