Clear has raised its annual fee for users by $10.

Effective August 1, the yearly cost of Clear has gone up by $10, now totaling $199 — this marks the second price hike in 14 years for the service.
This expedited airport security program is currently accessible at 58 airports throughout the U.S. and can also be utilized at stadiums and various large venues.

The secure identity platform utilizes members' biometric information, such as fingerprint and iris scans, to streamline identity verification during TSA screenings. Clear members can skip the wait for a TSA agent to check their license or passport and instead access a dedicated security lane with specialized check-in kiosks.
Following the price increase on August 1, Clear now charges $199 per year; some premium credit cards fully cover this fee or offer it at a reduced rate.
American Express has announced an enhanced Clear Plus statement credit of $199, effective from August 1. This benefit is applicable to The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card, the American Express® Green Card, the American Express Corporate Platinum Card®, and the Centurion Card from American Express. (Enrollment is required and will auto-renew.)

Starting in April, Clear users can sign up for TSA PreCheck at a bundled rate of $199, instead of the standard $78 for TSA PreCheck alone. To qualify for this price, travelers must apply for both TSA PreCheck and a Clear Plus membership on the Clear website. Once approved, Clear will provide a rebate of $77.95.
Several airlines provide special discounted rates for their frequent flyer program members through Clear.
Alongside the price hike, Clear has introduced Clear Perks, designed to improve the travel experience, which include home or hotel luggage delivery and the recovery of lost items at the airport with assistance from Clear Scout and our ambassadors.
Clear Ambassadors are available for users to reach out to via text or phone for assistance in retrieving lost items at the airport, including identification and mobile phones, through Clear Scout.
According to the spokesperson, "If you misplace something after passing through airport security, our Ambassadors will look for your lost item and assist in returning it to you. If your item is recovered, our Ambassador will hand it over to you outside of security after verifying your ID and item description. If you are no longer at the airport, we will send it to your address."
Other services provided include discounts on current airport offerings, particularly:
