Experience a more budget-friendly business class option with Condor, the German low-cost airline, as it expands flights to Europe.

Condor, based in Frankfurt, Germany, is a vibrant low-cost carrier known for its colorful planes resembling beach towels. This summer, the airline is enhancing its services from the United States, introducing more affordable transatlantic flights along with an improved in-flight experience, thanks to new aircraft launching on long-haul routes.
Here’s what you need to know about traveling to Europe with Condor this summer.
What are Condor’s summer flight destinations?
All Condor flights from the USA begin at the airline's Frankfurt hub, allowing travelers to connect to over 100 destinations across Europe, either on Condor or with partner airlines such as Lufthansa, SAS, and Aegean Airlines. While these routes have been available since summer 2022, the upcoming season will feature an increased frequency of flights.
Condor flights to Frankfurt are available from the following U.S. cities:
- New York (JFK) – Up to seven weekly flights starting May 1
- Los Angeles (LAX) – Up to seven weekly flights starting May 1
- Seattle (SEA) – Up to seven weekly flights commencing May 1

What are the costs of Condor flights?
Condor’s economy fares for transatlantic flights typically range from approximately $800 to $1,600 for a round trip, depending on the departure and arrival cities (these prices were sourced from the Condor website). An additional charge of about $120 each way applies for premium economy seats, while business-class fares start at roughly $2,000 round trip.
Though Condor is not a member of any major airline alliance, it collaborates with Alaska Airlines and JetBlue in the U.S. Passengers can currently earn and redeem Alaska miles on Condor flights, but not on JetBlue flights.

What can you expect from Condor's planes?
This spring, Condor introduced 16 new Airbus A330neo aircraft for its transatlantic services. With these new planes, Condor enhances the premium experience on its U.S. routes. Previously, flights were operated with Boeing 767s. The most significant upgrade is in business class, which has transitioned from a cramped two-two-two layout with non-reclining seats to a more spacious one-two-one configuration featuring fully lie-flat seats.
Here’s an overview of the new aircraft.
Business Class
All 30 business-class seats are designed to lie flat and offer direct aisle access. Each seat comes equipped with a coat hook, a personal storage compartment, a cocktail table, and a 17.3-inch entertainment screen. Additionally, there are four premium “Prime” business-class seats located in the front row, starting at an extra $199 each way. These include perks such as a visitor's seat, a 24-inch screen, complimentary pajamas, and a personal snack basket.

Premium Economy
The 64 premium economy seats offer an additional five inches of legroom compared to economy, totaling 35 inches of pitch, along with a footrest and enhanced recline.
Economy Class
Similar to business and premium economy, the remaining 216 economy seats are equipped with USB A/C charging ports and 4K (ultra high-definition) seatback screens that support Bluetooth for in-flight entertainment. Additionally, each seat features a dedicated pocket for water bottles, separate from the standard seatback pocket.
One of the advantages of the Airbus A330neo is its fuel efficiency, using only half a gallon of fuel per passenger for every 62 miles flown, according to Condor. Remarkably, it is the first aircraft worldwide already certified to meet the EPA’s 2028 carbon emissions reduction targets.
Founded in 1956, Condor underwent a revival in spring 2022 with the introduction of its new candy-striped aircraft, marking a strategic rebranding as a sought-after vacation choice. In the previous year, as international travel surged following the pandemic downturn, Condor expanded its network by adding three U.S. routes: Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
The airline is among several transatlantic low-cost carriers that have either launched, relaunched, or expanded their long-haul services between the United States and Europe over the past year, providing much-needed relief for travelers facing high international airfare prices. Other airlines offering more budget-friendly options to Europe include JetBlue, which recently introduced flights to Paris and Amsterdam, the no-frills Icelandic carrier Play, French Bee (offering low-cost flights to Paris), Spanish airline Level, and the new Scandinavian airline Norse Atlantic Airways.
