Final dates for Taylor Swift’s 'The Eras Tour' trigger a surge in Airbnb and hotel bookings across US and Canadian cities

The worldwide phenomenon of Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour" is approaching its conclusion later this year, with a final leg featuring stops in Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis before wrapping up in Canada with performances in Toronto and Vancouver, British Columbia.
As anticipated, the demand for Airbnb accommodations and hotel rooms is skyrocketing for the final concert dates.
"During her European leg earlier this year, we experienced a remarkable surge in European travel. Guests we spoke with focused more on the experience than the location," shared Haven Thorn, a spokesperson for Airbnb. "They were willing to travel to the most remote towns just to see her perform."

Airbnb has reported a staggering 1,400% increase in searches for vacation rentals in Indianapolis during Swift's performances in the city from November 1 to 3. In Vancouver, searches have surged by 900% for December 6 to 8, coinciding with the final shows of "The Eras Tour." Miami, hosting concerts from October 18 to 20, has experienced nearly a 200% rise in Airbnb search activity during these dates.
"With her return to North America, we're witnessing a significant spike in demand for the cities on her tour," Thorn noted. "These locations are also among the top trending destinations for the rest of this year."
It's not just vacation rentals that are seeing increased interest; hotels in cities hosting the Eras Tour are also filling up rapidly.

Occupancy rates for the first two nights of Swift's three-night stint in New Orleans have already reached 80%, according to hotel data provider STR. As expected, most Marriott-affiliated hotels in downtown New Orleans are sold out on concert nights. However, you can still find a room at The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans for $1,732 per night or at the Courtyard New Orleans Downtown Near the French Quarter for $999. The JW Marriott New Orleans offers a relatively better deal at $767 per night. The Marriott website currently lists no availability for Marriott Bonvoy award nights at these hotels.
If you plan to catch one of Swift's last three performances in Vancouver, you'll need to act quickly. Occupancy rates in the city are nearing 80% for the early December shows, and the prices reflect the high demand.
The Hyatt Regency Vancouver is priced at $1,659 per night for the first two nights of the three-night stay, but it becomes a bit more "affordable" at $1,249 on the final night, when overall occupancy in the city is just under 60%. The real bonus is the fantastic points redemption option: You can secure a stay at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver for only 12,000 World of Hyatt points during the Friday and Saturday shows — a significant reminder of how points can provide substantial savings during major events.
Even if you purchase 24,000 World of Hyatt points for a long weekend in Vancouver, the total cost for a two-night points stay ($460.80 after a 20% discount Hyatt is currently offering on bonus points purchases) is still much lower than the cash price for a single night. Swifties, hurry before award night availability disappears at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.
IHG fans have a few more options in Vancouver, but they come with a hefty price tag.
The Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown has starting rates of $1,033 per night for the first two nights of Swift's tour, while the Holiday Inn & Suites North Vancouver begins at $1,434. For IHG One Rewards members, the redemption rates start at 120,000 points per night at the downtown Holiday Inn for the December 6 and 7 concert dates. Prices decrease for the last night, with rates starting at $1,013 at the Holiday Inn & Suites Vancouver Downtown and $732 at the North Vancouver location. Award redemptions remain at 120,000 IHG One Rewards points for the final night of "The Eras Tour," but availability exists for both hotels on December 8.
Fans and members of Hilton Honors have a variety of options in downtown Vancouver, though they come at a high price: The Hilton Vancouver Downtown starts at $1,611 per night for the first two nights of "The Eras Tour," while the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Vancouver-Downtown begins at an eye-watering $2,014. The Hilton Vancouver Airport is a more affordable choice at $689.
Award night availability is limited to the Hilton Vancouver Downtown (starting at 70,000 Hilton Honors points) and the Hilton Vancouver Airport (60,000 points). Fans planning to see Swift on the last night of the tour who are willing to take off work the following Monday might find slightly lower cash rates, but award redemptions will be even higher: The Hilton Vancouver Downtown is priced at an astounding 718,000 Hilton Honors points on the final night of "The Eras Tour" in December.
If Swifties haven't secured their hotel yet, they might end up with some "Bad Blood."
