Glamping with points: Under Canvas is now available on World of Hyatt

Hyatt is ready to whisk you away on a luxurious camping experience—almost akin to a safari.

As of Thursday, Under Canvas has officially joined World of Hyatt, thanks to Hyatt's collaboration with Mr & Mrs Smith. Under Canvas offers camping sites nationwide, ranging from Acadia National Park to Moab, Utah.

Now, World of Hyatt members can earn and redeem points for nature-centric getaways at 13 outdoor-focused locations across the U.S., with bookings available for the seasonal camps through 2025.

According to a statement from the program, World of Hyatt members will enjoy the following benefits:

• Earn 5 base points for every $1 spent on room rates
• Qualifying nights towards your tier status for each eligible night at Under Canvas Resorts and Ulum Moab
• Enjoy the same perks as at Mr & Mrs Smith hotels

Additionally, those who hold the World of Hyatt Credit Card will receive an extra 4 bonus points for every $1 spent on room rates when booking through World of Hyatt channels.

TPG analyzed redemption rates for various dates, revealing that most are significantly below our July 2024 valuation of 1.7 cents per Hyatt point. Therefore, while this may not represent the most valuable use of your points, it could be a great opportunity for Hyatt loyalists eager to immerse themselves in some of the United States' most stunning parks and natural landscapes.

A quick search for Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains shows a mid-August stay costing 16,250 points per night for a standard Safari tent. Meanwhile, a stay in mid-June 2025 is priced at 17,750 points per night.
