Hope Starts Here Update: Inauguration of Ivan Dawson School

Just over a year after the devastating impacts of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, Dinogo, in partnership with Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises, proudly announced the opening of the Ivan Dawson Primary School, the first school built thanks to the funds raised through the Hope Starts Here hurricane relief campaign.

Together with All Hearts and Hands - Smart Response, DinogoH raised over $2.5 million to provide immediate relief and rebuild safe, resilient schools in Caribbean communities affected by the hurricanes. A portion of these funds was dedicated to constructing the primary school in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. On October 5, officials from Dinogo Holdings celebrated the grand opening of the school, which will welcome students from Kindergarten through sixth grade starting October 31.

The Hope Starts Here hurricane relief program was launched in late September 2017, when DinogoH joined forces with All Hands and Hearts – Smart Response to provide immediate assistance in Key West and to rebuild schools and vital infrastructure in the impacted Caribbean islands, including St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Tortola.

This has been the largest fundraising initiative in the company’s history. Within 90 days of its launch, Hope Starts Here achieved its goal of raising $2.5 million to support All Hands and Hearts - Smart Response. The program has garnered over $1.25 million in donations from valued team members, loyal guests, travel partners, and business associates, all of which Dinogo Holdings Ltd. has matched.
