A London hotel has taken this love for tea to an extraordinary level by offering what’s been called the UK’s most luxurious cup of tea.

Golden Tips, grown in the serene highlands of Sri Lanka, is carefully hand-picked by master tea pluckers and sun-dried on velvet cloth, transforming its buds from silver to shimmering gold.

This extravagant tea can only be enjoyed at The Rubens, where guests can savor it while gazing at the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace.

Described as having "a remarkable flavor with a delicate, light texture and subtle fruity undertones," Golden Tips was carefully selected in collaboration with the renowned PMD Tea merchants.

Once ordered, the tea is presented in a royal-worthy ceremony, which seems fitting given its eye-watering price tag.

Regal presentation

First, the leaves are carefully picked with gold tweezers and weighed precisely, then brewed with natural mineral water, before being poured from a unique silver tea set.

Guests are advised to sip the tea before enjoying any sandwiches or scones to fully appreciate its delicate flavor.
