Is a visa required to visit Morocco?
Travelers from approximately 70 countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the European Union, and the United Kingdom, can enter Morocco as tourists without a visa. The maximum stay allowed is 90 days, starting from the date of your entry stamp, not from three calendar months.
For a full list of visa-exempt countries and their respective visa durations, visit the website of the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs or consult the Moroccan embassy or consulate in your country. Some regions, like Hong Kong and the Maldives, allow only 30 days of visa-free travel, so verify any specific conditions related to your passport.
All travelers' passports must have at least one blank page for immigration stamps and be valid for six months beyond your entry date into Morocco. No matter where you land in Morocco, ensure your passport is stamped upon arrival, as this date and unique number will be referenced by accommodations and immigration officials throughout your stay.

Who is required to obtain a visa to enter Morocco?
Travelers needing a tourist visa can apply for an e-visa online, referred to as Autorisation Électronique de Voyage au Maroc (AEVM). Check your eligibility, document requirements, and submit, pay for, and track your visa application through the Access Maroc website.
Morocco offers two e-visa options. The E-visa Standard costs Dh770 and is processed within three business days, while the E-visa Express costs Dh1100 and takes one business day to process. Both e-visas are valid for 180 days from the issue date and permit stays of up to 30 days in Morocco.
Requests for visa extensions can be made at central police stations in Morocco, though approval is not guaranteed. You may exit the country and re-enter for another 90 days within the same year.
If you plan on bringing a non-Moroccan vehicle into Morocco via ferry from Spain, note that vehicles can remain in the country for six months within a calendar year. The driver’s tourist visa follows the rules of their passport; if eligible for a 90-day visa-free stay, you must either extend your visa or exit and return. Your car can stay for six months, but you must obtain an extension to remain that long.
Is there a digital nomad visa for Morocco?
Morocco does not offer a working holiday or digital nomad visa. If you plan to stay longer than 90 days, visit a central police station to inquire about obtaining a carte de sejour, which is a residency card needed to legally live and work in the country.
The application process requires considerable paperwork, including copies of your birth certificate, a police record check, and recent bank statements. The initial carte de sejour is valid for one year, after which you must reapply for three, five, and then ten-year extensions. Eligibility, fees, and requirements vary based on your application category, with some categories needing a work contract, business, spouse, property, or proof of retirement.
