Jamie-Lynn Sigler Reveals Her Family's Travel Tips—Including How She Gets Her Kids Involved in Packing
One crucial travel tip from Jamie Lynn Sigler, known for her role in The Sopranos and as a co-host of the "MeSsy podcast," is to always be prepared for surprises.
"Mishaps occur. Accidents are inevitable. It's essential to pack an extra set of clothes in your carry-on or personal bag for your kids," Sigler, 43, advised in a recent chat with Dinogo.
While Jamie-Lynn enjoys being organized for family trips with her husband and two kids, she ensures her sons Beau and Jack feel involved in the planning.
"We discuss, 'Here’s our plan. What do you think you need?' I hope that one day my boys' future wives will appreciate this," she chuckles, noting that she encourages her sons to unpack their own bags.
She also follows a family travel rule: whenever possible, only bring carry-ons. "I strive to be the ideal family that packs everything in a carry-on. We avoid checking luggage," she explained. "It boosts everyone's excitement and simplifies planning."
This level of organization extends to Sigler's home with the help of their Amazon Alexa. "I adore our Alexa. It provides comfort and peace of mind, especially knowing we have a plan for emergencies," she shared, discussing her partnership with Amazon to promote the Alexa Emergency Assist service.
"The plan is straightforward: just say, 'Alexa, call for help.' While you can prepare your kids for emergencies, in the moment, they might forget everything. The Alexa Emergency Assist has empowered my children, enhancing their decision-making skills and giving them confidence in their safety," she stated.

Once linked, emergency responders can access your profile information—including critical details—and your last known GPS location to dispatch assistance.
"For example, one of my sons has severe allergies to various medications. I have my own health concerns, and my other son has his as well," Sigler shared. "The peace of mind this provides in an emergency is truly invaluable."
For this seasoned actress, her Alexa also serves as a tool for self-care, as she rises 45 minutes before the rest of her family for a brief meditation and her personal morning routine.
"I’ll spend time in my kitchen, just me and my Alexa, sipping coffee while catching up on the headlines and checking the weather, or whatever else I need," she shared.
