JetBlue TrueBlue Program: Earning, Redeeming Points, and Transfer Partners
There’s plenty to appreciate about JetBlue. The airline provides ample legroom, delicious snacks, and complimentary Wi-Fi, along with a straightforward loyalty program.
Although the JetBlue TrueBlue program might not always be in the spotlight within the points and miles community, it offers a simple way to earn and redeem points, making it perfect for casual travelers. While redemptions are mainly limited to flights within the Americas, JetBlue has expanded its routes to include transatlantic services to various European cities.
Here’s all the information you need about the JetBlue TrueBlue loyalty program.
Overview of the JetBlue TrueBlue Program
ZACH GRIFF/DinogoJetBlue operates flights to over 100 destinations across the U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe, including the newly introduced service to Dublin.
JetBlue is not a member of any global airline alliance, but it does have several airline partners.
As one of the youngest major airlines in the U.S., JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty program is a newer entrant in the points and miles landscape. This revenue-based program means that earning and redeeming points generally corresponds to ticket prices. However, there are numerous opportunities to accumulate JetBlue points without flying.
JetBlue TrueBlue Airline Partners
ERIC ROSEN/DinogoJetBlue's airline partners include Etihad Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, Icelandair, JSX, Qatar Airways, Silver Airways, Singapore Airlines, and South African Airways. You can earn TrueBlue points when flying with any of these airlines, but you can only redeem points on JetBlue, Etihad, Hawaiian, and Qatar. JetBlue also has codeshare agreements with Aer Lingus, Air Serbia, Cape Air, El Al, Porter, and Turkish Airlines, allowing you to book flights on these airlines through JetBlue’s website, though earning or redeeming TrueBlue points on these flights is not possible. JetBlue's partnership with American Airlines concluded in 2023.
Alongside its airline partners, JetBlue allows you to earn points through various travel and non-travel affiliations.
JetBlue Elite Status
SEAN CUDAHY/DinogoJoin TrueBlue online for free at the "basic" level. The four tiers of JetBlue elite status are as follows:
- Mosaic Level 1
- Mosaic Level 2
- Mosaic Level 3
- Mosaic Level 4
JetBlue counts Mosaic status qualifications using "tiles," which are earned through qualifying expenses on JetBlue flights, vacations, and/or with JetBlue credit cards.
You accumulate one tile for each of the following:
- $100 spent on JetBlue flights (including extras and fees), JetBlue Vacations packages, and Paisly by JetBlue (for car rentals, accommodations, and more)
- $1,000 spent using JetBlue co-branded credit cards
This means you can achieve elite status solely through credit card spending, making purchases with JetBlue, or a combination of both—without ever having to board a plane.
The four tiers of JetBlue elite status are attained by reaching specific tile thresholds:
Status tier | Tiles needed | Status earned exclusively by JetBlue spending | Status earned exclusively by JetBlue credit card spending |
---|---|---|---|
Mosaic 1 | 50 | $5,000 | $50,000 |
Mosaic 2 | 100 | $10,000 | $100,000 |
Mosaic 3 | 150 | $15,000 | $150,000 |
Mosaic 4 | 250 | $25,000 | $250,000 |
As you work towards Mosaic 1 status, TrueBlue basic loyalty members can select from a variety of "Perks You Pick" upon reaching 10, 20, 30, and 40 tiles. Available perks include:
- Early boarding with Group B (excludes Blue Basic fares)
- Priority security access
- Complimentary inflight alcoholic drink (up to three drinks per flight)
- Double bonus points on a JetBlue Vacations package (one-time use only)
- 5,000 TrueBlue bonus points
You may choose each of these perks only once, even if you earn all four tile amounts.

How to use your JetBlue TrueBlue points
QATAR AIRWAYSJetBlue implements a dynamic pricing model for its flights, making redemptions straightforward. You can use points for any seat on any JetBlue flight throughout its entire network. The higher the cash price of a flight, the more points it will require.
As per TPG's evaluations, you can anticipate a fairly stable value of approximately 1.35 cents for each TrueBlue point. In our experience, the redemption value is often slightly lower for JetBlue Mint award tickets.
To verify award availability, search for flights on JetBlue's website as you usually would, ensuring to check the "Use TrueBlue points" option at the top of the search box. Please note that points cannot be redeemed for Blue Basic fares.
JETBLUE.COMFor other fare classes, you can either redeem points for the full fare or combine points and cash. The latter option is useful if you have fewer points, though it generally offers less value. Our tests show these redemptions provide only about 0.9 cents per point.
While JetBlue has multiple airline partners, you can currently redeem TrueBlue points only with Etihad Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, and Qatar Airways. These redemptions can be booked directly on JetBlue's website.
JETBLUE.COMFinal thoughts
Although you may not achieve exceptional value from your points, the JetBlue TrueBlue program remains advantageous for many travelers. TrueBlue points are among the easiest domestic airline points to accumulate and redeem, with no complicated award charts or capacity restrictions to navigate.
The program is set to become even more beneficial as JetBlue expands its domestic and international routes and hopefully introduces additional partner redemption options.
