Join our Facebook panel discussion this week focusing on travel safety

It’s Travel Safety Week at TPG, and our team is dedicated to providing you with all the essential information to stay safe while traveling this summer and beyond.
Later this week, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from a panel of experts discussing this important topic.
Join me and my colleague, TPG senior travel reporter Victoria Walker, as we engage with Karin King, deputy assistant secretary for overseas citizens services at the U.S. State Department, and Erin Petersen, editor-in-chief at Healthline.com (a part of TPG's parent company, Red Ventures). We have a wide range of topics prepared for our panel, including the current travel landscape, safety protocols, solo travel, and international travel.
Date: Thursday, May 20, 2021
Time: 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT
Location: TPG's Facebook group — confirm your attendance here
King has been serving in the State Department's foreign service since 1991, with postings in Mexico, Poland, the Bahamas, Trinidad, and Germany. Her office, part of the Bureau of Consular Affairs, coordinates various initiatives to assist U.S. citizens traveling or residing abroad. This includes support for crime victims, providing temporary emergency financial aid, and addressing documentation issues such as lost passports and birth certificates for Americans born outside the U.S.
It also manages the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (commonly known as STEP), which is a valuable resource for American travelers overseas.
Petersen has been with Healthline Media for nearly nine years and became the editor-in-chief of Healthline.com in July 2019. As the leading health information website in the U.S., Healthline addresses all aspects of physical and mental health, both of which were significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As specialists in their fields, both King and Erin are exceptionally qualified to discuss all facets of maintaining safety and health while traveling.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for this event this Thursday!
