Kenya Airways halts flights to China amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Due to the current coronavirus outbreak, Kenya Airways has suspended all flights to and from China until further notice, as confirmed by the airline on Friday.
The airline, which operates direct services to Guangzhou, stated that it is closely monitoring the situation in collaboration with Kenya's health and foreign ministries.
In a public statement, Kenya Airways emphasized that the safety of its passengers and staff remains its top priority.
Concerns among Kenyans regarding the airline’s flights to China grew after a passenger arriving from Guangzhou was quarantined on Tuesday after exhibiting symptoms of the coronavirus.
The passenger, a student who had arrived from Wuhan—the epicenter of the outbreak—tested negative for the virus, according to Kenya's health ministry on Friday.
The Kenyan government has urged its citizens to avoid non-essential travel to China, where the coronavirus outbreak has claimed over 200 lives.
Ethiopia reported four suspected cases, all of which tested negative, while Ivory Coast recorded one. Additionally, Botswana placed a passenger arriving from China under isolation on Thursday.
Rwanda Air and Morocco's Royal Air Maroc are among several African airlines that have ceased operations to China.
Rwanda Air announced on Friday that the suspension was implemented following the World Health Organization's declaration of the coronavirus as a global public health emergency.
Ethiopian Airlines announced via tweet that it will continue operating flights to five Chinese cities, while following international safety standards to protect passengers.
Several international airlines, including British Airways, have halted flights to China as the coronavirus spreads worldwide.
