Lyft has officially made its On-Time Pickup Promise a lasting commitment, providing credits to riders for any delays in their pickups.

This summer has already set records for travel, with U.S. airlines anticipating 271 million passengers from June 1 to August 31, according to Airlines for America.
Lyft has always focused on ensuring travelers reach their destinations when they need to.
Originally introduced as a holiday travel initiative, Lyft's On-Time Pickup Promise has now become a permanent offering for riders this summer, guaranteeing payment if your pickup is delayed.
On-Time Pickup Promise

Starting Wednesday, pre-scheduled airport rides will be included under Lyft's On-Time Pickup Promise, guaranteeing timely arrivals or compensation if your ride is late.
Users have the option to book Lyft rides up to 30 days ahead, allowing them to secure their pickup date, time, and fare, alleviating one less worry. Scheduled rides are prioritized for driver matching, and drivers may accept these rides at any point after scheduling. You can cancel or modify your pre-scheduled rides up to an hour before the pickup.
If your scheduled airport Lyft ride isn't on time, you'll automatically receive Lyft Cash credits in your account as follows:
- $15 in Lyft Cash if your driver is over 10 minutes late (reduced from $20 during the initial launch)
- $50 in Lyft Cash if you haven't been matched with a driver 10 minutes after your scheduled pickup time
- Up to an additional $50 in Lyft Cash if you're still unmatched and have to take a ride with another company costing more than $50
The first two credits will be automatically issued, but to receive the additional $50, you'll need to reach out to Lyft via the help section in the app and submit your receipt from the alternative transportation.

Extra Comfort mode

Lyft's Extra Comfort option allows travelers to unwind from the moment they enter the vehicle. Rides labeled "Extra Comfort" provide more spacious cars, highly-rated drivers, and tailored preferences for things like temperature, a peaceful atmosphere, or luggage help.
These enhancements come after the successful introduction of Lyft's Women+ Connect, which pairs women and nonbinary riders with drivers in select locations.
