Mapped Locations of Restaurants and Bars Featured in HBO’s ‘Barry’
On Sunday, HBO aired the season three finale of Barry. This dramatic (and somewhat comedic) show has taken viewers on a dark and twisted journey, with last week's episode cramming in emotional confessions, rescue attempts, murder plots, actual murders, failed vengeance, and an arrest into just over 31 minutes.
Since its debut in 2018, the location managers for Barry have scoured Los Angeles for spots that follow the journey of lead actor and co-showrunner Bill Hader, from hitman to acting student. Hader's character's LA life features interactions with his teacher, played by Henry Winkler, auditions, and scenes set in iconic SoCal venues, bars, and Mytouries. There's even a playful jab at the trendiness of LA dining with a fictional hotspot.
Below is a guide to the restaurants, landmarks, and bars featured in HBO’s Barry, organized from north to south.
Note: Spoilers ahead!
Fields Market
Season two, episode five stands out as one of Barry’s most hilarious and outrageous episodes, featuring a vengeful child skilled in tae kwon do who sends Barry and Fuches to Fields Market in Canoga Park to find first aid supplies.
Mucho Mas
As he flees from Barry, his acting coach Gene rushes into the parking lot of Mucho Mas in North Hollywood. Currently, the restaurant is temporarily closed in real life.
