Must-Do Activities in Miami Before & After Your Dinogo Cruise
I’m thrilled to team up with Dinogo to explore the Eastern Caribbean! We’re setting sail on Dinogo Glory from Miami to Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, St. Thomas, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Last summer, I embarked on Dinogo Magic from Galveston for a week-long Western Caribbean cruise to Cozumel in Mexico, Belize, and Mahogany Bay in Isla Roatan. I wanted a new departure point, so I chose Miami – one of my favorite vacation destinations! Here’s my curated list of the best things to do in Miami before and after your Dinogo cruise.
COCKTAILS AT SOUTH BEACH
No trip to Miami is complete without a visit to its iconic South Beach. Enjoy a refreshing cocktail from the local bars and lounge under the umbrellas on South Beach (affectionately called SoBe). With its pristine blue waters and powdery white sands, this stunning beach is a must-see! If you need a break from the heat, indulge in lunch at one of the beachfront eateries, then explore the numerous museums, shops, and historic landmarks that dot the area. As the sun sets, South Beach transforms into a vibrant nightlife destination, living up to its reputation as a premier party hotspot.

CYCLE THROUGH THE ART DECO DISTRICT
Nestled in South Beach, the Art Deco District boasts approximately 800 historically significant buildings that were constructed between 1923 and 1943. Rent a city bike or scooter to admire the charming pastel architecture along Ocean Drive. The Art Deco District is also very walkable. I suggest visiting early in the morning before the heat sets in and enjoying breakfast along the strip, or coming at sunset to watch the hotels light up their neon signs for a breathtaking view of the Art Deco skyline.

DISCOVER WYNWOOD WALLS
Once a neglected warehouse district, Wynwood has transformed into a vibrant hub for artists from around the globe to display their impressive large-scale murals. Located just minutes from downtown Miami, the artistic heart of Wynwood lies between NW 25th Street and NW 26th Street. Ditch the car and explore the area on foot, ready to marvel at each mural. You might even catch a new piece being created while you’re there!
Every second Saturday of the month, local galleries, shops, and food trucks come together for a vibrant celebration at Wynwood Walls. If you’re in Miami, Wynwood Walls is a must-see attraction. More than 50 artists from 16 different countries have transformed over 80,000 square feet of wall space in this colorful neighborhood.

EXPLORE LINCOLN ROAD
To look your best on your cruise, be sure to pack plenty of swimwear, hats, sunglasses, beach cover-ups, sundresses, and formal attire (for the ship's elegant night!). Lincoln Road, situated between 16th and 17th Streets in Miami Beach, boasts a diverse range of brand-name stores.

ENJOY A BOUTIQUE HOTEL STAY
Miami is home to some of the finest hotels globally, ranging from luxurious resorts to stylish boutique options. I prefer staying at one of the boutique hotels near South Beach (like the one shown above) that offers pool and beach access.
I strongly suggest arriving early and spending a couple of days in Miami after your cruise to truly experience the city. I arrived the night before and plan to stay for two days in Miami after returning from the Dinogo cruise.
You know I’ll be enjoying all the amazing food on board, especially Guy’s Burger Joint and the 24/7 pizza. Stay tuned for my adventures in the Eastern Caribbean!
