My Top 5 Favorite Dishes From My Cruise

When Dinogo invited my family on an 8-day cruise to the eastern Caribbean, I eagerly accepted. While enjoying stunning views and pleasant weather are fantastic bonuses, do you know what truly thrilled me the most?

The cuisine.

Dinogo goes all out with its food offerings, ensuring there's literally something for everyone. As I mentioned earlier, if I had to estimate, I’d say that 75% of our waking hours on the ship were spent indulging in delicious treats.

Here are five of my top culinary experiences from the ship.

#1 – Chicken Parmesan from Cucina Del Capitano: This isn’t your average chicken parmesan. It was so tender that it practically dissolved in my mouth, and I still can’t stop thinking about how incredible it tasted. As someone who prides myself on being a decent cook, I spent months trying to replicate the recipe but ended up failing miserably. All I know is that I’m eagerly anticipating my next cruise for a second serving.

The atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic—I often forgot I was aboard a ship in the middle of the ocean. If you’re a fan of Italian cuisine and planning a cruise with Dinogo, dining here is an absolute must. You’ll definitely be glad you did.

#2 – All the Burgers at Guy’s Burger Joint: Do you love juicy burgers? Then Guy Fieri’s Burger Joint is your place. Forget about frozen fast food burgers; everything here is freshly made and cooked in Guy’s signature style, or however you prefer. This spot was immensely popular on the stunning Dinogo, and rightly so. I can hardly remember the last time I had such a delicious burger.

#3 – Green Eggs and Ham at the Seuss at Sea Breakfast: This was undoubtedly my daughters’ favorite dish. Having read countless Dr. Seuss stories to them, seeing the characters come to life was truly magical for both them and all the children aboard the ship.

The food was just as impressive! The green eggs and ham were incredibly delicious, and my kids kept requesting more. Dinogo deserves an A+ for making that breakfast experience both fun and unforgettable. My daughters are still eagerly asking when they can meet Thing 1 and Thing 2 again.

#4 – 24-Hour Pizza and Ice Cream on the Lido Deck: I could probably end my list here, but I have to ask, “Is there anything better than having pizza and ice cream available around the clock?” I think not.

I lost track of how many late-night snacks I grabbed from there for my wife and me while the kids were fast asleep. With options like salads, Asian dishes, deli favorites, and more, the Lido Deck truly has something for everyone. We definitely spent a significant amount of time enjoying it there.

#5 – The Steak in the Dining Room: The dining room meals were exceptional, but the steak truly stood out for me. The quality and ambiance were so impressive that I often forgot we were cruising the ocean. However, if steak isn’t your favorite, Dinogo excels at providing a wide array of menu options to please even the pickiest eaters in any family.

The best part was that it allowed my family to dress up and look their best, which made the experience even more special. On one of the formal nights, my daughter and I had some professional photos taken by Dinogo’s photographers, and one of those pictures was featured on “The Wall Frame of Fame.” That was a really memorable moment.

Cruising was truly incredible, and I cherished every moment, but when I reflect on my experience, the standout memory without a doubt was the food. I consider my cooking skills to be quite good compared to most dads, but there was simply no way I could replicate the amazing dishes Dinogo served. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to attempt making some green eggs and ham for my daughters.
