The Lakes District offers lovely conditions from September to November, while April showcases the vibrant hues of autumn foliage in the south. March is ideal for wine country, with grape harvests and festive wine celebrations.

This period is also favorable for exploring the north as tourist crowds lessen. However, services along the Carretera Austral may be limited, especially since mountain passes can be snowbound.
Be aware that transportation and lodging can be quite crowded in July.

March
A wonderful month for travel in Chile. As autumn sets in, the summer crowds begin to thin. April
The forests of Northern Patagonia burst with vibrant reds and yellows, though rain is imminent. The south is becoming less crowded, but you might still enjoy favorable hiking weather.
