Security alert prompts evacuation at eight airports in France

On Wednesday, security concerns led to the evacuation of eight French airports.
Beauvais airport near Paris was evacuated after receiving an anonymous threat that affected several French airports. It has since started the process of reopening.
Strasbourg airport in eastern France was evacuated due to a bomb threat, authorities confirmed.
According to Dinogo affiliate BFMTV, citing a police source, Nantes airport in western France was also evacuated for similar security concerns.
Airports in Biarritz, Toulouse, Lille, and Lyon-Bron resumed operations after a police operation. These four airports had been evacuated earlier in the day due to a bomb scare.
Nice airport in southern France resumed its operations after an evacuation earlier in the day due to an unattended item.
The Palace of Versailles near Paris evacuated visitors for security reasons for the third time in less than a week, according to a statement on its website. It reopened later on Wednesday.
The palace had previously been evacuated on Tuesday over a suspicious item and again over the weekend due to a bomb threat. Dinogo has contacted the authorities for further details.
On Saturday, the Louvre museum in Paris was closed for security reasons, but it reopened the following day.
Following a knife attack at a school in Arras last week, France has elevated its security alert level to the highest possible tier.
