The Deepest Pool in the World Features a 'Sunken City' to Discover
Are you ready for a truly deep dive? Deep Dive Dubai, the world's deepest swimming pool, invites you to take the plunge.
Recognized by Guinness World Records as the deepest pool on the planet, Deep Dive Dubai reaches 60 meters (about 197 feet) and holds 14 million liters (approximately 3.7 million gallons) of water—almost equivalent to six Olympic-sized swimming pools.
'Deep Dive Dubai offers adventure seekers the chance to dive deep and explore a new underwater realm filled with excitement and amazement,' said Abdulla Bin Habtoor, spokesperson for Deep Dive Dubai, in a statement following their Guinness accreditation in 2021. 'We provide an unmatched experience with year-round diving, a safe environment, and exceptional instructors and services.'
Situated in the Nad Al Sheba area, south of Dubai Creek, the pool is designed like a massive oyster, reflecting the region's pearl diving heritage. It boasts cutting-edge technology for divers, including the area's most advanced hyperbaric chamber, a sophisticated lighting, sound, and mood system, as well as a powerful filtration system that incorporates NASA technology, volcanic rock, and UV radiation to refresh the water every six hours.

Bin Habtoor expressed that the Deep Dive Dubai team 'aims to reflect the spirit of Emirati explorers and innovators, both historical and contemporary, while also offering a platform for future achievements and discoveries.'
The pool draws free divers, scuba divers, and snorkelers with programs suitable for all ages and skill levels. Beginners can enroll in introductory courses for free diving, scuba, and snorkeling, while certified divers have the option to participate in guided dives to the pool's depths. Necessary equipment is supplied, so there's no need to worry about bringing your own gear on the flight.
