The luxurious new Mandarin Oriental in London has finally opened its doors

London's already remarkable hotel scene just got an upgrade: The eagerly awaited Mandarin Oriental London, Mayfair—one of TPG's most thrilling hotel launches of 2024—is officially welcoming guests.
Nestled in the upscale Mayfair neighborhood on Hanover Square, the hotel boasts an exclusive collection of 50 guest rooms and 77 residences. Each room is decorated with a chic, slightly whimsical floral design (featuring hand-painted de Gournay wallpaper) along with neutral cream and beige tones, complemented by floor-to-ceiling windows that invite ample natural light.

Room options range from a 355-square-foot Deluxe Room to the expansive 1,517-square-foot Mayfair Suite, which feels fit for royalty just a stone's throw away. For additional space, guests can select from various connecting room types and a selection of midsize suites.
Each room is equipped with premium amenities including Natura Bisse bath products, Dyson hair dryers, Good Hair Day straighteners, Nespresso coffee machines, plush bathrobes and kimonos, yoga mats, and Bluetooth speakers.

Dining is taken seriously at this Mandarin Oriental. The culinary offerings at the brand's second London location are helmed by renowned Korean chef Akira Back. Guests can enjoy Back's namesake Japanese-Korean restaurant, which serves three meals a day; the upcoming Korean chef's table experience called Dosa; and two bar venues, ABar Lounge and ABar Rooftop (opening later this year).
In classic Mandarin Oriental style, the hotel features a luxurious underground spa. Guests are welcomed by a Ming marble reception desk before entering treatment rooms, a 25-meter (approximately 82-foot) heated indoor swimming pool, steam rooms, vitality pools, and a fitness center.

Keep in mind that, like many of London's upscale hotels, the Mandarin Oriental features a similarly lavish price — starting rates for entry-level rooms exceed $1,300 per night.
