The Most Expensive Cruise in the World Can Cost Up to Nearly $1 Million Per Person and Will Visit 40 Countries

Regent Seven Seas Cruises plans to launch what could be the priciest commercial cruise ever in 2027: a global expedition with ticket prices ranging from just under $100,000 to nearly $1 million per individual.
Does that sound extravagant? Yes, for most travelers. However, the luxury cruise line anticipates that this voyage will set new sales records, similar to many of its previous world cruises, which often sell out on the first day of bookings.
“Travelers are increasingly eager to embrace once-in-a-lifetime luxury travel opportunities,” stated Andrea DeMarco, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “In fact, over recent years, we've seen a consistent rise in interest and demand for our world cruises, as discerning explorers wish to travel further and for longer periods. More than ever, people are reluctant to let opportunities slip away.”

Indeed, lengthy world cruises, spanning weeks and even months, have surged in popularity following the COVID-19 pandemic, especially within the luxury and upscale cruise sectors.
In response to the rising demand, Regent’s 2027 world cruise will debut on one of the company’s largest and newest explorer class vessels, the 746-passenger Seven Seas Splendor, which entered service in 2020. The ship features 373 suites across 15 categories, from the 307-square-foot Veranda Suite to the exclusive, extravagant 4,443-square-foot Regent Suite.
Situated on the 14th deck, the Regent Suite boasts unobstructed 270-degree views from a 1,300-square-foot wraparound veranda overlooking the ship’s bow. A glass-enclosed solarium provides a view akin to that of the captain from the bridge. This opulent accommodation includes its own spa retreat featuring a personal sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi, alongside original Picasso artworks on the walls, a custom Steinway Grand Maroque Piano by Dakota Jackson, and a bespoke Hästens Vividus mattress valued at over $200,000, complete with the finest linens and pillow selections.

Guests in the Regent Suite will enjoy the services of a dedicated butler, a fully stocked bar, and access to a personal car and driver at every port of call.
Prices for the 140-night journey, commencing on January 11, 2027, begin at $91,499 per guest for a Veranda Suite, escalating to $839,999 per guest for the luxurious Regent Suite. Travelers seeking a slightly shorter adventure can embark on a 126-night Miami-to-Rome cruise, with rates starting at $84,999 per guest and reaching up to $755,999 per guest.
So, what exactly is included for these hefty prices?
Fares for the World of Splendor sailing encompass first-class round-trip airfare, door-to-door luggage service, 486 shore excursions, specialty dining experiences, premium wines and spirits, unlimited Wi-Fi, and complimentary laundry and dry cleaning services.
